End of an Era

After almost 20 years, blood, sweat, a few divorces, a lot of break ups, a ton of beers, parties, good times, many, many, many arguments about music and, of course a whole lot of tattoos Fish, Jef Kopp, and Adam van Deutekom will be opening a shop in North Denver called The Little Black Church.

Fish began tattooing in 1999, after getting his first tattoo his admiration and appreciation for the art of tattooing grew into an apprenticeship in his native Rochester, NY. He moved to Colorado and helped open Think Tank Tattoo in 2002. Fish loves that tattooing has afforded him the opportunity to support himself as a working artist. He is heavily influenced by Art Nouveau, religious imagery, and the occult.  He loves interpreting classic tattoo ideas into illustrative and realistic designs.

Jef is from Baltimore, but he has been in Denver for a long time. His unique tattooing technique results in beautiful realistic and illustrative tattoos. Jef enjoys drawing demons and tattooing portrait tattoos. He also enjoys music and bicycles

Adam’s tattoo career started in the fall of 2005 in Fort Collins, Colorado at a busy street shop that was located near CSU. There he learned a wide range of styles and the ability to cater to a broad audience. He moved to Denver in early 2012. Adam is very thankful for the inspiring and creative group of people that he has met in the tattoo community that have helped him shape his artistic skill; giving him the ability to do what he loves.

Fish and Jef Kopp will be leaving to open The Little Black Church on 1/12/19. Adam van Deutekom will join them on 1/25/19 All appointments and deposits will be honored at their new studio Each artist will contact their clients with existing appointments to disclose the location of the shop. This news is bittersweet as these 3 have become such strong figures in the tattoo community and our shop. We are so happy for them and wish them the best of luck!

They can be reached at 303-717-8717
